Description
New Bridge is a pair of cottages built in the early 18th century. They are designed in a double-pile plan and constructed from rubble brought to course, featuring large dressed quoins and a slate roof with a stone ridge. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of three cells. The outer cells each have a 6-light chamfered mullioned window on both floors, which have been reduced to two wide lights. The central cell originally had a 4-light window above, now also reduced to two lights. Each cottage has a doorway with a simple chamfered surround. The left return wall includes a two-light window (with the mullion removed) alongside a double chamfered mullioned window with square reveals, originally four lights but now lacking the central mullion. The right return wall features similar windows.
