Description
This is a pair of substantial stone houses on Chester Road, built in the late 19th century. They are designed in a style reminiscent of the 16th and early 17th centuries. The houses originally formed a pair, with the eastern house later being divided into numbers 33 and 35. They are two main storeys high, with an additional storey within the slated roof. Shallow gabled wings project from both the north and main south fronts. The houses have mullioned and transomed windows, and are characterised by grouped chimney stacks. An iron escape stair is located on the south front of number 37. Numbers 33 to 37 (odd) form a group with numbers 10 to 30 (even).
