Description

This is a cottage, possibly linked to textile manufacturing, dating from the late 17th century. It is built of hammer-dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high and features quoins. The windows are all chamfered mullioned types, including a four-light window with a three-light window above it, both of which have been altered to two lights, and a three-light window with a two-light window at mezzanine level. The doorway has a heavy lintel and large tie-stones. It may have served as a loom shop for the nearby Great House.
