Description
Latham Farmhouse and the attached barn are a late 18th century building, likely dating from around 1818, as indicated by the datestone inserted into a blocked doorway, which is initialled and dated "I C 1828". The structure is built of well-coursed dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high.
The barn to the left has an elliptical-arched cart entry with a simple Venetian window above it. There is a mistal doorway to the left of the barn. To the right, there is a blocked doorway with a datestone and a 4-light flat-faced mullioned window, which is missing two mullions. Above this, there is a 5-light window that also lacks two mullions. The main entrance has tie-stone jambs, and there is a 4-light window with a projecting sill, although one light is blocked. A 5-light window is located above on the first floor. The gables are coped and feature kneelers.
At the rear, there is a 3-light window with a similar one above in a later addition, and a 5-light window on each floor to the left of the elliptical cart entry. The building has two stacks at the ridge.
