Description

The Todmorden Viaduct over Burnley Road is a railway viaduct built around 1840 by George Stephenson. It is constructed from pitched faced stone and features seven segmental arches, each with a cyma moulded impost band and cornice. The structure includes a parapet and tapering piers, with buttresses at either end that project forward. Beyond the southern buttress, there are two land arches.
