Description
29, 31, and 33 The Green are located in Idle and date from around 1800. Number 29 is a three-storey building made of sandstone "brick" with a stone slate roof. It features one two-light square mullion flush framed window on each floor. Numbers 31 and 33 are a pair of two-storey cottages from the mid to late 18th century, also constructed of sandstone "brick" and topped with a stone slate roof. Each of these cottages has a plat band and three-light square mullion windows, along with a false painted glazing bar window on the first floor. Number 31 includes a small modern shop window on the ground floor, while Number 33 retains some mullioned windows similar to those on the first floor. There are two plain surround passage entrances located in the center of the buildings. These properties hold an important position facing The Green.
