Description
Nos 224 to 230 on Bradford Road are a two-storey row of cottages that date back to 1815. They are constructed from thin sandstone "bricks" and feature a first-floor sill band. The eaves are supported by block brackets, and there is a central chimney stack on the stone slate roof. No 226 retains three-light square mullion, flush framed windows, while the mullions have been removed from No 228. There is a recessed entrance to No 224, and the doorway of No 230 is adjacent but has a lower set lintel. These cottages were likely originally designed as a pair.
