Green Lane School Kitchen, Swimming Pool and Gymnasium

The Green Lane School Kitchen, Swimming Pool, and Gymnasium is a building constructed in 1907. It features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has slate roofs with coped gables and kneelers, along with various chimney stacks. The north front, facing the school yard, includes a double gabled wing on the right, where the outer gable projects. This section has two central doorways, one of which is partially blocked, framed by chamfered surrounds with hood moulds. To the right, there is a two-light mullion window with plain sashes, and to the left, a smaller similar window. Above these, a single sash window is flanked by two-light mullion windows with plain sashes. To the left, there is a taller range featuring three two-light cross casements, with three smaller similar windows above. Further left, the large swimming pool block projects, and to the north, there is a large open bicycle shed supported by four pillars. Set back to the left is another wing with a partly glazed hipped roof and five two-light casements. This building was the earliest school kitchen in Bradford, designed to serve the surrounding schools.
