Description
This is a terrace of houses, with a lodging house incorporated at each end, dating from around 1854. They were designed by Lockwood and Mawson for Titus Salt as part of the Saltaire model village. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a Welsh slate roof. The end houses and number 31 are three storeys high, while the remaining houses are two storeys. Each house typically has two bays, except for the single-bay end houses. Number 31 projects slightly forward. The ground floor features round-arched, archivolted openings, while the first floor has square-headed openings, some of which are blind. The buildings include sill bands and wooden brackets supporting the gutters. The roofs are hipped. There are two-bay projecting wings at the rear. The return elevations are two storeys high, with an additional bay set back at number 6 Albert Terrace.
