Description

A row of four cottages, now three dwellings, was built in the mid to late 18th century. The cottages are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The two storeys have four first-floor windows; all are flat-faced mullioned windows with slightly recessed mullions. Each cottage originally had a doorway with monolithic jambs, and a three-light window above a four-light window. Number 26 has a lower roof and an inserted bow window, and the mullions have been removed. There are three stacks on the ridge. The rear of the cottages has mostly altered windows. Number 26 retains a two-light window with original leaded lights to each floor. Inside, the cottages feature stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
