Description

Nos 46, 48, and 50 on Town Lane in Idle, built around 1800, form a three-storey range of houses. The buildings are constructed of painted sandstone that resembles brick and feature stone slate roofs. A large ledged stone chimney stack is present on No 48. Each house has one window on each floor, with wood casements on Nos 46 and 48. No 50 retains square mullions, all set within squared surrounds. The doorways are also characterized by squared jambs.
