Description

Booth Royd is a two-bay cottage dated 1745. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with flush quoins, and has a stone slate roof with prominent coped kneelers to the gable ends, along with stone brackets supporting a wooden gutter. Chimneys are corniced. Around 1800, four-light square mullion windows were added to the first floor, set in squared surrounds. On the ground floor, the left-hand side has a five-light chamfered mullion window in a splayed reveal, and the right-hand side has a two-light window, originally four-light. A four-panel door is centrally located, set within squared jambs.
