Description
Holme House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated '1675 WK', which has been divided into two parts in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with the facade resembling two cottages. Each cottage has a 20th-century door in a plain stone surround, and on each floor, there are stepped, three-light flat-faced mullion windows. There is an inserted 20th-century window on the first floor. The farmhouse has plain gutter brackets arranged in groups of three, shaped kneelers, and ashlar coping. Each cottage has a stack at the left end. There is a later single-storey addition at the left front corner that is not of interest. The rear of the building features quoins, and on the right side, there is a chamfered quoined doorway with a moulded, dated lintel.
