Description

Lower Laithe is a house dating back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone with a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high. A 20th-century door has been inserted, while a 17th-century doorway remains blocked, featuring a shaped lintel, and another blocked doorway is visible to the left. The ground floor has two three-light flat-faced mullion windows. Above these are two double-chamfered mullion windows, one with three lights and the other with four. At the rear of the house, there is a six-light double-chamfered mullion window, a late 18th-century mullioned window, and three later flat-faced mullion windows.
