Description

Nos 15 (Ridge Cottage), 17 (White Rose Cottage) and 19 (Willow Cottage) form one house that was later divided into three dwellings, dating to the 17th century with later additions and alterations in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and converted again in the 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed stone with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high with a total of ten first-floor windows.

Ridge Cottage (No 15), on the right-hand side, has a 20th-century glazed door within a chamfered quoined surround to the left, and a second doorway in a 20th-century gabled porch. There are two 2-light, flat-faced mullion windows on the ground floor and four single-light windows above. End stacks are present.

White Rose Cottage (No 17), in the centre, features a 20th-century panel door set within a plain stone surround with interrupted jambs. It has two double-chamfered mullion windows where the mullions have been removed, with two later windows above. A stack is located at the right-hand end.

Willow Cottage (No 19), on the left, has quoins to the left side. A gabled porch is present with a 5-light, double-chamfered mullion window to its right. This window has round-headed lights and sunk spandrels. To the left of the porch is a flat-faced mullion window where the mullions have been removed. A dripmould is also present. Above are four windows. Ashlar coping is visible to the left. Stacks are located on the ridge and at the left-hand end.

The rear of the building exhibits two 2-light double-chamfered mullion windows where the mullions have been removed. The rear also contains stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
