Description
Canal Bridge Number 208, located 200 metres west of the junction with Dock Lane, is a canal bridge built around 1774, coinciding with the date of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The bridge is constructed from coursed rubble and features a single span shallow segmental arch made with rough-cut voussoirs. It has a hump-backed profile and round copings along the parapet. The walkway is setted, though partly concreted, and there is a tow path located underneath on the north side.
