Description
Victoria Works is a textile mill built around 1873 for Henry Mason. It features hammer-dressed stone and a stone slate roof. The building has four storeys and consists of 16 bays. The central bay is wider and includes loading doors on the third floor and a gabled dormer, which has a hoist. The industrial windows have later casements and are set on a slightly raised sill band, with an additional band at the window head level. Several windows on the third floor are blind, and there are some round-arched openings on the ground floor. Square stone brackets support the gutter. The left gable has a three-light window with a round-arched center light at the apex, and the gable features moulded copings. The interior has not been inspected.
