Description

Canal Bridge No. 11, also known as Cater's Bridge, is a canal bridge located on the Oxford Canal and dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of English bond brick and features stone coping along the parapet, as well as a projecting stone course around the segmental arch. The abutments of the bridge curve out slightly. This section of the canal was completed in 1778, as noted by Hugh J. Compton in "The Oxford Canal."
