Description
The Whitehouse and Wingletang are two cottages that form part of a row, dating from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of whitewashed brick and feature a thatched roof with a brick gable parapet on the left side, along with a brick left end and two ridge stacks. Each cottage has a two-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and consists of a single-window range.
The Whitehouse, located on the left, has a blocked doorway situated between two ground-floor windows and an eyebrow dormer on the right. It features 20th-century three-light casements, and the entrance is located on the left return side, within a 20th-century addition at the rear. Wingletang has a plank door on the left and a blocked doorway on the right. It includes 19th-century three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars and a central eyebrow dormer that has paired two-light casements with a horizontal glazing bar. All ground floor openings on both cottages have brick segmental arches. The interiors have not been inspected.
