Description
Sun Wood Farmhouse and the adjoining barn to the north date from around 1800 and may have been rebuilt at that time. The farmhouse was originally constructed as three cottages, with the barn forming the northern wing. It is two-storeys high and built from sandstone "brick" with stone slate roofs. The building features corniced chimneys and kneelers at the gable ends of the barn. There are two and three light square mullion windows on the first floor and four light windows on the ground floor, all set in squared surrounds. Additionally, there are three squared jamb doorways.
