Description
Langberries Farmhouse is a farmhouse likely originating from the 16th century, with a timber frame that was re-cased in the 18th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is two stories high and constructed from sandstone bricks, featuring a gable end and a stone slate roof. It has four-light and two-light square mullion windows that are flush framed and chamfered internally, although some have been altered. Inside, the living room on the ground floor has a massive tie beam that spans across a former inglenook fireplace and arches over what was once a passage or doorway, supported by a post. There is also a chamfered main ceiling beam with stop-chamfered joists. On the first floor, within the original part of the house, a partly exposed massive king post truss can be seen, with the wall plates boxed in. Additionally, there is a cellar-cum-dairy that is partly vaulted and partly roofed, situated just above ground level at the rear.
