Description

The buildings at 72, 74, and 76 Clayton Lane were originally built as a single dwelling in 1770, as indicated by a plaque inscribed "DB 1770," and were later converted into tenements in the early to mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of sandstone and brick, with a stone slate roof and flanking chimneys. They feature three-light and two-light square mullioned windows, with the two-light windows having formerly been four-light windows. The doorways have plain, squared jambs.
