Description
The Leeds and Liverpool Canal aqueduct over Morton Beck, located in Keighley, was built around 1770 to 1773 during the construction of this section of the canal, designed by engineers James Brindley and John Longbotham. The structure is made of coursed stone and features a single segmental-headed arch with impost bands. There is a parapet on the towpath side only, which includes a squared string course beneath it. The coping is present on both sides, with the towpath-side parapet having a ridged top. The other part of the aqueduct is situated in the parish of Bingley.
