Description

Green Hill Gate is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and hammer-dressed stone, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a symmetrical facade with seven bays. The central three bays are made of ashlar and project slightly, with rusticated quoins. There is a doorway with moulded jambs, consoles, and a cornice, which is accessed by a flight of four stone steps. Each bay is fitted with 16-pane sash windows that have plain stone surrounds. The building also has a moulded eaves cornice and two corniced ridge stacks located on either side of the central three bays.
