Description

This is a row of six cottages built around 1820-1830. They are constructed of sandstone, which is made to resemble brick, with stone slate roofs and bracketed eaves. Number 32 has a hipped roof and a built-out ground floor. Numbers 32 and 34 were originally designed as a pair and are situated lower on the hillside. Some of the cottages retain their original two-light square mullion windows set within squared surrounds, while others have later casement windows. The row is listed for its contribution to the character of the area.
