Description
The lodge at the north-east entrance to Burngreave Cemetery, built around 1860, is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with a central coped stone ridge stack. The building has a plinth, quoins, and coped gables with kneelers. It is two storeys high and has a two-window range in an L-plan layout. The windows are 2-light plain sashes with stone mullions. The gabled wing on the left has one window on each floor, while the right side features a lean-to porch with a single window on its right side and a small fixed light above it. The right return gable has a single window on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. This lodge serves as an ancillary building to Burngreave Cemetery.
