Description
An early 19th-century barn with gin gang and cowsheds, located north of the yard at Mosborough Hall Farm. Later alterations occurred in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared stone and brick, with stone dressings, and has stone slate roofing on the barn, corrugated iron on the gin gang, and a pantile roof on the cowsheds. The barn, which is to the right, is three bays wide and has quoins, a coped right gable with kneelers, and a stone slate roof. It includes an off-centre pair of barn doors with a stone surround and wooden lintel, flanked by single pitch holes and breathers. Below, a cross breather is flanked by single slits. An altered doorway, a 2-light casement, and two smaller windows are also present. The gin gang is canted and has a coursed stone plinth and brick piers with later brick infill. The cowsheds to the left are four bays wide and have three partly slatted casements above, the left one unglazed. Below, there is a large doorway to the left, a smaller doorway to the right, and two slatted square windows between them, all with stone lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
