Description

The building is an early 18th century summerhouse, later converted into a house, with a connecting garden wall. It is located on the east side of South Street, Mosborough, Sheffield, and is situated alongside No. 33. The summerhouse is constructed of coursed squared stone, partly rendered, with ashlar dressings. It has a plinth, projecting quoins, and a coped parapet. The two-storey structure has a three-window range, with windows featuring projecting stone surrounds. A recessed entrance bay on the left has a small cross casement window above a stone doorcase with projecting quoins. The projecting right wing has two cross casements on the upper floor and a smaller central cross casement below. The rendered right return side is blank. The interior has not been inspected. To the left of the summerhouse, a garden wall approximately 4 metres long extends, featuring ramped gabled brick coping and a board door. The wall likely belongs to a wider garden originally linked to Mosborough Hall.
