Description
No. 156 Hollow Lane is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, with an attached boundary wall. It dates from the mid-18th century, with an early 19th-century addition and some alterations made in the late 20th century. The exterior is pebbledashed and features a Roman tile roof with two gable stacks and a single ridge stack, all rendered. The building has two storeys and a three-window range. On the right side, there are two 2-light casements on each floor, which have chamfered stone mullions. The central entrance features a 19th-century gabled porch with a beaded six-panel door. Above the porch, to the left, is a 2-light Yorkshire sash window. The left side of the building has a small casement window on the left. The attached boundary wall is semicircular, made of coursed squared stone with half-round coping, and it ramps up at the right end, featuring a central gateway and a board door in the right return. The interior has not been inspected.
