Description

The memorial obelisk at the junction of Norton Lane, designed by Philip Hardwick, commemorates Sir Francis Chantrey and dates from around 1850. It is made of granite and stands approximately 6 metres high, with the name "Chantrey" inscribed on one face. The obelisk features a square base consisting of three steps.
