Description
This former Methodist chapel, now a disused cowshed, was built in 1789 and restored around 1989. It was constructed for Mary Mitchell and Sarah Hutton in memory of their father, Thomas Boulsover, who was the inventor of Sheffield plate and lived from 1705 to 1788. The building is made of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a pyramidal stone slate roof. It has a single-storey, square plan with a blocked round-headed door and single blocked windows on either side, along with a 12-pane casement window on each side. At the rear, there is a central doorway topped with a glazing bar fanlight. Inside, the chapel has a cross-beam ceiling.
