Description
Sandbed Weir is a structure on the River Don, built in the mid-19th century, that formerly supplied the Clifton Steelworks, which is not included in this listing. The weir is approximately 100 meters long and features a straight design. Its top sill is made of coursed squared stone, while the downstream side consists of coursed rubble. There is a blocked outlet at the south end of the weir.
