Description
The barn at Wickersley Grange Farm, dated 1773, is constructed of coursed, squared sandstone with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has five bays. The central waggon entrance is ashlar-quoined and features boarded doors beneath a segmental arch with a raised keystone that displays the date. To the right of the entrance, there is a door with a boarded hatch above it, and each bay has a slit vent. The barn is adorned with shaped kneelers and gable copings. At the rear, there is an opposed waggon entrance, which is now partly walled up, and the keystone bears the inscription 'R W M'. On the right side, two inserted casements are present on the ground floor, while the first-floor windows have original square-faced surrounds; the left window is boarded, and the right window features a part-slatted casement. There is also a blind gable oculus. The barn was formerly associated with Wickersley Grange.
