Description
The K6 telephone kiosk, designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is a Grade II listed structure located on Abbey Lane in Laughton-en-le-Morthen, formerly listed under Thurcroft. This kiosk is made of cast iron and painted red, featuring a square plan with a domed roof. It has unperforated George VI crowns on the top panels above opaque glazed narrow rectangular panels that display the word 'TELEPHONE'. The windows and door have margin glazing. The kiosk is well-preserved and is situated near the scheduled Slade Hooton medieval settlement and moated site, as well as close to the Grade II* Slade Hooton Hall.
