Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, constructed from rubble magnesian limestone with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and an L-shaped plan, featuring a four-bay front and a two-bay left return. The rear angle is infilled by a wing that projects beyond the right return. The farmhouse has rusticated ashlar quoins.
The doorway in the second bay has a six-panel door set within a stone architrave, which is topped with a plain frieze and cornice. The windows are cross windows in raised ashlar surrounds with cavetto-moulded inner arrises. On the first floor, there is a band beneath the windows similar to that on the ground floor. A later stone plaque, which forms an apron to the second bay window, bears the words "HALL FARM." The right side features shaped kneelers to a coped gable, while the left side has a hipped end to the roof. Rebuilt brick ridge stacks are located to the right of the door and on the rear-left wing.
At the rear, there is a tall stair window that originally had two transoms, although one has been removed. The left return is windowed like the front, but the first-floor window on the right has been infilled.
