Description

The raised slab to the Staveley family, dated 1735, is made of magnesian limestone and is located immediately to the south of the south chapel of the Church of St. Winifred. The slab is rectangular with a chamfered lower edge and is set on plain blocks. It features an arcaded panel with an inscription dedicated to the children of Francis and Grace Staveley: William, who died in 1735 at the age of 10 days, and Benjamin and Ann, both of whom died in 1737.
