Description

The remains of a cross are located approximately 12 metres to the west of the tower of the Church of All Saints in Owston Village. This structure features a late medieval base, likely with a 17th century shaft and a sundial dated 1679, which has been resited. It is made of magnesian limestone and has a square base with deeply cut-off corners. The weathered shaft displays moulded arrises and carvings on each face. The brass sundial is decorated with a gnomon and bears the date '1679'.
