Description
Manor Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from rubble limestone with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and includes partial cellars and attics, featuring a total of five windows on the first floor. The windows have been altered, now consisting of 20th-century transomed casements with glazing bars and the remains of double-chamfered window surrounds. The central entrance has a part-glazed door with an overlight that includes margin-light glazing. There are two three-light windows on each side of the door, with a blocked double-chamfered window located between the first and second bays. The first floor has four similar windows, including a horizontally-sliding sash window in a double-chamfered surround on the right. Above the right window, there is a slatted opening to the attic. The building features kneelers and gable copings, with a projecting end stack on the left that has quoins, offsets, and a brick shaft. There is also a brick end stack on the right and a matching ridge stack to the right of the door.
At the rear, the remains of double-chamfered window surrounds can be seen. On the left side, original windows flank the stack projection, although all are blocked except for the attic window, which has latticed, leaded lights. Inside, there is a bressumer beam in the ground-floor room on the right that has a door-head cut into the beam on the left. The interior also features some 18th-century wall cupboards and a good splat-balustraded staircase leading from the ground floor up to the attics.
