Description
The Hostel is a house dated 1781, with an addition made to the rear in 1903. It is built of rubble limestone and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and features two windows on the first floor. Large quoins are present at the corners. The central doorway has a square-faced surround, while a projecting 4-light bay window on the right has a segmental relieving arch. On the left, there is a canted bay window with a hipped pentice roof that extends to the right above the door. The first floor includes a central quatrefoil panel that encloses a square plaque with a weathered date inscription, flanked by 3-light casements that also have segmental relieving arches. The second floor features small, transomed, 2-light casements set beneath the eaves. The gable copings and brick end stacks complete the structure.
