Description
This is a cartshed and granary with a dovecote, built in the late 18th century and altered since. It is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof. The building stands three storeys high and consists of three bays. The ground floor features a three-bay cartshed arcade supported by square piers and segmental brick arches with keystones. Wooden beams at the impost level indicate the height of the first floor, and there is plastered infill below the arches. The first bay has an arch that has been modified to include a segmentally-arched doorway for the first floor. The other bays have slatted casements with segmental arches above them. On the second floor, there is a central opening with a brick ledge and boarding that is pierced by pigeon holes. The building also has shaped kneelers and ashlar gable copings. There are attached farm buildings nearby, but they are not of special interest.
