Description
This barn, located approximately 10 metres south-east of Cloth Hall Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and features an asbestos sheet roof. The barn has five internal bays with aisles at the front. Notable architectural details include quoins, a central recessed square-headed cart entry, and chamfered entrances to the right and on the left return, as well as an outshut. The windows have been altered or are from a later period. At the rear, there is an opposed segmental-arched cart entry with a quoined surround. Inside, the barn has open trusses with struts, and there is one aisle-post visible to the right, with probably another to the left, although it was not visible at the time of the survey.
