Description

This raised graveslab, located approximately 5 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of All Saints, dates from around 1756. It is made of sandstone and features a moulded edge with arched decoration at the top. The slab commemorates Sarah, the wife of Thomas Beckit of Round Green, who died on 19th February 1756 at the age of 57. Additionally, there is an inscription in different lettering that notes the burial of Thomas Beckit, who died on 6th April 1757 at the age of 63, on the south side of the tomb.
