Description
This is a timber-framed barn, originally part of Field Head Farm, likely dating from the 16th or 17th century and possibly incorporating re-used timbers. Some coursed stonework remains on the south side. The barn comprises four bays. To the east, there are two cruck trusses supported by brick piers; only a partial tie beam survives, originally trenched for tie beams. Collars are also present. To the west, there are three post-and-truss frames, featuring queen struts. Only the posts of the north side of this section remain. The barn was undergoing reconstruction and conversion when surveyed in 1986.
