Description

Catshaw Cross is a cross located approximately 40 metres west of the junction with Catshaw Lane in Hazlehead. The date of the cross is uncertain, and it is made of millstone grit. It features a square post with chamfered sides and a rounded top. There is graffiti on the front that reads "1853." The stone was replaced around 1980 and is now situated in a dry-stone wall, marking the boundary between the parishes of Dunford and Penistone.
