Description
This barn, located immediately south-east of Broadfield Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from dry coursed squared rubble and features a stone slate roof. The barn has five internal bays and a near-central cart-entry with a segmental head. To the right, stone steps lead up to a first-floor doorway. There is a small 20th-century addition on the far right. At the rear, there is an opposed cart-entry similar to the front. Inside, the barn contains four king-post trusses with struts, although one is incomplete. This structure is included for its group value.
