Description
No. 2 Patrick Pool is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 17th century and underwent restoration around 1980. The building is constructed of orange brick laid in stretcher bond and features a pantile roof with a renewed stone-coped gable.
The exterior has two storeys and an attic, with a gabled front that includes two windows. To the right, there is a six-panel door with an overlight set in a remodelled doorway featuring a cambered brick arch, next to a small-pane bow window supported by brackets. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows with painted sills, each beneath segmental brick arches. In the attic, there is one horizontal sliding sash window with two panes by six panes. A blind bulls-eye window is present in the gable end, and raised brick bands are visible at both the first floor and attic levels.
Inside, remnants of a Chinese fret staircase balustrade can be found between the ground and first floors, as well as between the first and attic floors.
