Description

No. 35 Blossom Street is a mid-19th century shop and offices. The building is constructed of painted brick with a concrete tiled roof. The main block is three storeys high and features three bays, flanked by rusticated quoin strips, with a fourth bay above a carriageway to the right. Upper-floor windows are sash windows with segmental brick arches. A 20th-century shopfront occupies the ground floor, set between pilasters supporting a cornice. The carriageway entrance has a flat lintel beneath a segmental brick arch. There are three moulded brackets at the eaves, and a corbel table, which varies in detail above the fourth bay, possibly indicating a difference in construction. A gable chimney is located to the right, and an axial chimney is towards the left, both positioned in front of the ridge. The interior was not inspected. The building is included for group value with other buildings on Blossom Street.
