Description
Woods Mill is a mid-19th century mill and warehouse that has been converted into offices. It features orange-red brick laid in Flemish bond, with window arches made of grey-white brick and a cast-iron balcony. The building has stone-coped gables and a Welsh slate roof.
The exterior includes a gabled front with four storeys, a basement, and an attic, along with four windows. The basement has low segmental arches, three of which are blocked, while the right end contains a set-back segment-headed board door on heavy hinges. On the first floor, there is a full-width balcony with a trellis balustrade and a canopy roof. The windows are 4-pane sashes with painted stone sills or French doors, all set beneath segmental brick arches. The gable end is designed to resemble a pediment, featuring a moulded modillion cornice above an eaves band of cogged brick, which encloses a glazed oculus surrounded by grey-white brick. A gantry projects from the attic. The interior has not been inspected.
