Description
Millbank House is a mid-19th century warehouse that has been converted into offices, with later alterations and restoration. The building is constructed of orange-red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a rusticated ashlar basement, while the left side is rendered. It has stone-coped gables and moulded kneelers, topped by a Welsh slate roof.
The exterior showcases a three-storey-and-basement front with five bays, the central bay being gabled. The basement originally had five segment-arched openings, which are now closed off with 20th-century board doors. The windows throughout are segment-arched 4-pane sashes with painted stone sills, including an attic window in the gabled central bay. There is an eaves band of cogged brick beneath moulded brick eaves brackets. At the center of the roof ridge, there is a square louvred cupola with a sprocketed pyramidal roof and a wrought-iron weather vane. The interior has not been inspected.
