Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating to the mid-18th century, with a 20th-century extension to the left. It is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a pantile roof. The original design was a two-cell plan with an off-centre hallway entrance. The house is two storeys high with two first-floor windows. A boarded door is centrally located with a four-pane fixed window to its left. The remaining windows are two-light Yorkshire sash windows with 20th-century shutters; those on the ground floor are set beneath segmental relieving arches. A first-floor band runs along the façade, and a dentilled eaves course is present. The roof features gable coping, end and ridge stacks, and tumbling-in to the gable ends. A 20th-century extension, matching the original style, has been added to the left.
